Speechless Nature

This is not a city.
There are no cars, busses
Or thousand-foot skyscrapers
Here.
This is nature.
Where everything is peaceful and neutral and
Untouched.
Sounds of birds and rustling leaves
Fill my ears with
Peace.
It's so raw and rough-
The feel of Mother Earth-
Yet so welcoming.
Each incoming whiff of nature smells so
Thick with flowers and wood.
The ground,
Covered in rotting leaves
And parts of trees
Once alive and moving
Now dead, stagnant.
A quiet breathtaking view of elegance.

A writing topic in english class, "the forest", inspired me to write this poem about my appreciation for nature.
