The Battle
The year was 2001
I was 6 years old and far, far too young.
To know the severity
Of all the unclarity
Taking place in my home
That seemed quiet as we roamed, you see
Mom did recover from cancer
And after that the family was closer.
She says it all worked out
After her health was back
And still to this day we rely on each other more.
