UNTILTED # 2
On the outside I am smiling
I laugh like it's okay
But on the inside I am crying
And I frown everyday
No one knows I'm falling
And I'm falling pretty fast
No one seems to notice
I distract them with my mask
No one happens to be near
When the warning bell sounds off
Just a happy, funny, popular girl
Who isn't any of those at all?
No one but me can hear it
As death calls out my name
Tears fall on my casket
Unlike me they can't hide pain
No one ever realized
And no one ever heard
The signs were right in front of them
But they’re too self-absorbed
I wasn't really smiling
The laughs were cries of pain
I leave no trace, no memory
Truth is my life's not great
