Wild wonders dance
around the room
as people swing themselves
across the floor
Seeing sweet country folk
in a great farm-like club
Smell of the fresh, green,
nicely-mowed grass swaying
in the west Texas wind
Seeing and smelling these
such things
bring sorry memories
of parents, young and
in love,
not knowing what may
lay ahead
Not knowing soon later
I would happen
