Three years you knew me
and I knew you
Three years we laughed
with the highest hopes
Three years we thought
would last forever
Three years we spent
as a mere joke
Three years we smiled
at each other
Three years our hearts beat
in our chests
Three years- we spent them
like no other
Three years we acted
as if we didn't care
Three years we searched
for someone better
Three years we looked
but nothing was true
...and at the end of three years we realized
that you had me and I had you
