A man with one watch knows what time it is; a man with two watches is never quite sure. ~Lee Segall

I get home from a party and crash

He needs energy so he drinks a monster

It doesn’t work and he falls asleep

A long time before he wakes up

On the couch he lays

In the living room where it is dark

He drives into a cave that is dark

He pushes in the brakes before he’d crash

In the car shocked he lays

Hoping the cave is not for some huge monster

Stuck in the chair he tries to get up

out of the car. Something snores is it asleep?

The rooms still quiet the boy is asleep

The stillness and the peacefulness of the dark

room. He screams as if he was about to crash

to get away from the monster

on the couch he still lays

The monster is now eating a bag of lays

I need to wait till he falls asleep

The ugly and hideous monster

IN his cave black and dark

He stands and doesn’t see the rock hits is and crashes

It looks like he will never wake up

The ledge I try to climb up

on the cave floor he lays

I find a knife in to him it will crash

into his heart. While he is asleep

his afterlife will be dark

a very terrible monster

The knife in hand to kill the monster

this time he will never wake up

Now he is left in the dark

forever. Dead on the cave floor he lays

I then wake up and not asleep

I roll of the sofa and on the floor I crash

This is a sestina. My creative writing teacher inspired to do this, because he wanted to see if I can be creative in writing a structured and limited poem.
