Dreaming While You Sleep
Dreaming while you sleep,
It’s match for when you weep,
But sometimes when you fall asleep,
Tears roll down your face as you begin to weep.
Some dreams can be funny,
Others can be filled with money,
Some dreams can be sunny,
And others can be runny.
Dreaming is part of life,
It can even happen in wildlife,
Maybe in your afterlife,
You can dream of a time you spent with your wife.
Lying there in a warm bed,
Picturing what I had just read,
Images start to form in my head,
And body starts to feel dead.
Even though I know that it’s not real,
My body is stiff and I cannot feel,
Both arms try to reach for my fresh, hot meal,
As my eyelids start to seal.
I have finally fallen into a short little doze,
Dreaming of a big red rose,
Walking into a room of snow,
The roses have frozen into horizontal rows.
