Wouldn't It Be Perfect

Wouldn’t it be perfect for you to see
For there to be a way to get you to notice me
Is it so difficult for you to glance my way down the hall
It’d be adorable if you’d congratulate me for my birthday come fall

Wouldn’t it be perfect if I hated your guts
But every time I so much as glance at you my stomach turns into knots
I sit behind you in class yet it’s as though I’m invisible
The fact that you don’t even know my name makes school life unlivable

Wouldn’t it be perfect if dreams came true
If this were the case then maybe you’d get a clue
And realize my sentiments for you are real
How seeing you truly makes me feel

Now I’ve realized that there are dreams which cannot be
And hopes which we must set free
Yet I must say that if things between us were to materialize
It would be more perfect than you and I realize

this is a really sweet poem. whether it was written out of sadness or realization, this poem portrays your emotions pefectly. you have a wonderful way of writing.

i like the way you rhyme your stanzas. sometimes when writers try to rhyme their poems, they focus too much on the rhyming and not enough on the real meaning of the piece. this didn't seem to be a prob for you and that truly defines a great writer.

check out some of my work, too if you'd like. thx so much for posting this and i look forward to reading more from you.

keep writing! (:
