Ode to Boys
I don't know why you do this to me
To you its clear, but I can't see
Sometimes you get near me like you want a kiss
Sometimes you ignore me, you think I'm a miss
Your moods are confusing, they run cold and hot
Some boys are consistent, you're clearly not
Sometimes when I think we are getting somewhere
You tell me no with your icy blank stare
You abuse me, confuse me, and mess with my mind
Somedays thoughtless and mean, somedays shockingly kind
On some days you bare me your heart and your soul
On these special days, I feel in control
On some days you offer a smile, a flirt
But later, you act like I'm just worthless dirt
I can't keeep on going, this up and down way
So listen to me, hear what I say
You can't treat me this way, its nearly a crime
So here's what I say: you are not worth my time.
