Beach Dreams

By
The warm ocean waves crash upon the sand
The bitter taste of salt fills the warm air
Wet sand sticks perfectly to my tan hand
Now, in this moment I possess no cares
The blazing sun lights the hot sandy ground
Scattered shells are bountiful all throughout
The abandoned beach is quiet around
I love it here at the ocean, no doubt
The beautiful day quickly goes to night
The soft sand keeps my bare feet and toes warm
For the day to stay I’d put up a fight
I love the sweet summer days in this form
Though I know this season will always end
The sweet dream of the beach will be my friend.
