A Sonnet to a Woman Like No Other
How can I begin to express my love?
It is abundant and vitalizing.
It is as constant as heaven above.
You are the one who makes me want to sing.
You have taught me to be fearless and strong.
You left your country to follow your heart.
You came here with high hopes and a new song.
It is this strength that led to a new start.
You tell me that laughter is a virtue.
It is the sun and the moon for the soul.
Because laughter has done so much for you,
I know that it will help me reach my goal.
You are truly a woman like no other,
And I am glad to call you grandmother.
