Upon a silky string it falls
Frightening the young
It sneaks upon its prey
Attempt to touch it?

It rapidly crawls away

As dangerous as a disease

A warming house pet is he

Why is my feeling so awkward?

Towards it.

Breathe in, breathe out

The rhyming words of the poet.

My heart beats like a beating drum

Thoughts about these tiny freak makes-

My hands all numb

Face covered in sweat

My body really can’t handle that

What is it?

Where is it?

Only in the thoughts

Of my head, that

Thing I write about

Is a eight legged teddy bear in my bed.
