Life flies by
Too fast to stay caught up
People pass away
Sometimes we don’t realize things until it’s too late
Past memories fade into gray
As we waste our lives
Trying to impress people
Why don’t we do what we want
We create our own lives as we live them
Each and every day is harder
Life is unfair and doesn’t get easier
So as my life flies by me
I will stand here
Look around
And realize nothing I did in my life was to impress others
I will live my life to my standards
So as you live your life
Live it the way you want to
Not according to someone else’s standards
