All my life I've been waiting at the foot of a mountain.
Afraid to climb and see what's on the other side.
So afraid to climb,
To spread my wings and fly.
Maybe I'm afraid I'd lose my footing
And fall down.
Or that I'd be too fragile and weak
To pull free of gravity.
But then I realized we can never go anywhere without taking risks,
That the only way we can learn is if we make mistakes,
And that what is really considered failing
Is not the falling down
But the staying down.
So I've learned that no matter what
I always have to believe.
Believe I can fly.
