"Sometimes we put up walls, not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to try and knock them down"

I’ve got big plans for myself
Trying not to act like everybody else

Making sure not to fall for the perfect guy
Taking the road less traveled by

Living large and growing strong
Giving up everything and singing along

Forgetting the rest and chasing my dreams
Running off aimlessly to blow off some steam

Jumping too high as I try to catch the sun
Absolutely no hesitations, I’ll say it, I’m done

Done with hiding in corners and jumping off walls
These ups and downs will only ever make me fall

Living off the things that keep the tears in my eye
So tired of waiting when all I do is try

Secrets pouring out and starting off clean
In a world so hectic it’s almost serene

Somehow it all just starts to come together
When you let go of fantasies and thoughts of forever

Leave behind your expectations and don’t forget to breathe
Forgive and forget, love with no regrets, and don’t be too scared to leave

No matter what, don’t let them get to you, as long as you remember
There’s more to life than what meets the eye, you deserve so much better

It’s a time of new beginnings, a waterfall of change
A little wise, much too planned out, and, quite frankly, strange

But it’s all just a couple of words, a little effort
And a mind set on all but grey
And hopefully Im not all talk, we’ll see!
If my eyes glisten on that very first school day...
And whether or not I just walk away...

I’ve got big plans for myself
Trying not to be like everybody else

Just trying to get by on my very last chance
Where there’s not much else to do but live, love and dance

This basically is just about maturing and getting on with your life after you've been knocked down. I think anyone can relate to this :)
