Like a needle sewing patterns
It whips through tapestry
Leaving churning trails of tassels
Splitting off and foaming free

Plastered curtains slap its frame
Wrapping only salty perfumes
And effacing any earthly remains
To descend down to empty tombs

It sways with the breeze's ballerinas
It leaps to the fisher's beat
It dances with silver acrobats
Uniting with Poseidon’s dancing fleet

It speeds past rippled shadows
Races with time’s rush
Remembering only to dock home
When salient is Sun's deep blush

It's just a tottering sea-saw
That pushed out beyond the roar
Raised above the pointed claws
To plunge forward and explore
