Due for a break

Due for a break
The glossy stones shine subtle,
Silky sand caresses them,
The waves move to an inevitable beat,
My body springs in an upbeat motion,
Leaping,
Somersaulting,
Into the overlapping unknown,
My thick mane,
Woven with bitter sea-salt,
The undeniable sweet sensation,
Melting on my tongue,
The heat climbing,
The humidity unbearable,
The waves rolling,
The sun turning,
The children,
Their screams devastatingly pure of light,
The rainbow-enchanted slits light into the polished stone,
Tears roll down an old man's cheek,
At the distraught beauty of it all,
Ignorance is bliss.
