You Control Me- Ode to a red haired boy

You,
With your red hair and your soft skin.
You,
With your brown eyes and your vicious stare.
You,?With your low laugh and your huge smile.
You control me.

You know you do.
You have the power and you use it against me.
You hear me say, “no.” but you know the answer means yes.
You persuade me,
Forcing my hands.

You take off your shirt,
And get me to do the same.
You’re bad for me,
Like a drug I’m addicted to.
?Constant video chats,
Long phone calls.
Random IMs.
Each others secret keepers.
I tell you all the things in my head.
You do the same.

When there’s no one else there,?and hope fades away.
You’re the light that makes me stay alive.
You fight me on everything I say.
I can never be right when I’m with you,
And yet I love it.

There’s a passion,
Something that makes no sense.
Why should we love each other?
There isn’t a reason.
No sense to the matter, just fact is there.
I wonder why I listen to you,
But it isn’t something I can control.

You refuse to let me win.
You only let me down.
I cry for you, and you know I’d die for you.
It doesn’t seem to matter.
You’re a jerk,
You’re mean to me.
It doesn’t matter what you do,
You mean something to me.

So when I want to give up,
I think of you,
How you would force me to stay in the game,
To win the race,
To get the A+ and not settle for an A,
And I keep fighting.

You’re the reason I fight.
You’re bad for me.
But good at the same time.
You refuse to let me win,
I’m never happy with you,
But I never give up either,
You keep me fighting,
You keep me strong.

You,
With your creepy stare.
You,
With your piercing eyes.
You,
With your perfect voice.
You control me.

This piece is about a friend of mine. I changed a lot of the facts about our relationship to make it slightly more dramatic, but the general concept is the same.
