Around the Boats
Some fish swim by
And sun rays slice the sky
The blue birds sing
I hum something
A tune that floats
All around the boats
Filling up my ears
Wiping away your tears
You take my hand
On the docks we stand
Wind in my hair
No one seems to care
They're watching me
I wish that they could see
All the pain they cause
Without taking a pause
But I know how
Not to give up now
My teacher taught me well
Her spirits never fell
The water flows
In between my toes
As I kick my feet
To my heartbeat
When the sun goes down
Moonlight's on the town
Now it's getting cold
In your arms I fold
Before I close my eyes
I see the starry skies
I fall asleep
And I don't make a peep
