what you dont see
Another sleepkess night awaits
the scent of disappointment lingeres
the words flawlessly escape
lies, pouring sweetly over an aching wound
hearing you're voice
the perfectly rehearsed lines
smiles that never reach your eyes
i see your emptiness when your laughter subsides
your fragile facade wearing down
the way you so carefully hide
i see the war raging inside you
but do you see me?
the pain burning through me?
my silence even when i talk?
if you knew me
you would see how my heart aches
how i crumble when im your second choice
you would hear the fear when i speak
fell the loneliness that i harbor
but you dont know
you dont see me...
