I am a book
I have been written and revised
I have had my pages bent and torn out
The further you read me
The more you understand me
I am a book
I’m often judged by my cover
I’m full of mysteries
I have many plots and conflicts
Only certain people will be willing to read my pages
Some people wont like my story
And that’s fine by me
I am a book
My story is long
Full of ups and downs
With chapters that are exciting
And others that are boring
I am a book
Each year my cover becomes more battered
But no matter how torn up my cover gets
My story will always remain exactly the same
