Red Ribbon

I'm hanging by a thread.
I'm dangling down.
I'm unravelling all my plans
and they're about to hit the ground.
Who said we have to "settle"?
Who said life is surreal?
Who said we hide emotion?
Because I have nothing left to feel.

And the truth is out.
And the dawn breaks.
And I fall down,
while he awaits today.

I'm crumbling all apart.
I'm turning to ash.
I'm winding down on time,
while days turn into trash.
Who said to "always love"?
Who was the first to break?
Who made this emotion
that only seems to take?

And the truth is out.
And the dawn breaks.
And I fall down,
while he awaits today.

He awaits today.
I await tomorrow.
He feels yesterday.
And I feel nothing at all.

I'm hanging by a thread.
I'm dangling down.
I'm unravelling all my plans,
and they're about to hit the ground...
