One of Few
I can see all the blurred and blank faces,
Taking one glance as they look back at me,
They fill up all of the empty spaces,
Left with no more than happy memories,
These friendships can only last for so long,
Real trust lies with those deserving of it,
Comparing myself to every sad song,
Finding out where I belong where I fit,
Sticks and stones may break words and yet words?
Words cause pain as love does as friendships do,
We are the hunted prey running in herds,
Seeking a home for comfort found in few,
Between blurred and blank faces I found you,
Offering a clear heart one that is true.
