As a teenager I think…
Love is a gift
Peace is an escape
Beauty is within
Friendship is valued
As a child I thought…
Christmas meant presents
Summer meant swimming
School meant I was a BIG KID
And everyone was my friend
When I’m an adult…
A job will be necessary
My kids will come first
I will have more responsibility
Yet the child within will never die
I think adults…
Think they can’t be wrong
Can see things kids can’t
Are afraid to fail
Don’t want to be alone
To be in between is…
The best of both worlds
Being able to see things others can’t
Starting to grow up and be mature
Yet still know how to have fun
