What is worry?
Is it the fleeting fear when wobbling on your first two-wheeler?
Is it that nail-biting nervousness before a big test?
Is it that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you see the guy of your dreams?
Is it when the test strip turns pink?
Is it when your six month old has a 104 degree fever?
Or when chicken pox has covered your six year old?
Maybe when there’s a deadline to meet?
Or bills to pay?
Or rent that’s due.
Will our kids get into college?
Will we ever have grandchildren?
Does this lump mean anything?
What do you mean by “more tests”?
How long do I have?
Worry has always been a part of life.
The real question is, how much of our life do we give it?
