The Colors of Life

I usually come off as a shimmery blue—
Bold, bossy, and brilliant,
Loud, confident, and attention grabbing,
Friendly like a kindergartener during recess.
Once you really get to know me though,
I am comfy sweatpants gray—
Soft and sweet,
Loving without deceit,
A warm hug and a shoulder to cry on.
But I need both colors
To make me who I am.
