The Thoughts of Rain
My name is rain,
There are many of us,
I am rain droplet # 100,900,400,392,643,577,100,
There are many of us,
And I mean many,
We begin the cycle and fall,
Land,
Evaporate,
And repeat,
I have been all over the world,
California,
Africa,
Mexico,
And even Japan,
But soon,
I will not return to this cloud,
Instead, sealed off from humanity
Used to cool a reactor core,
Not really helping anyone,
Maybe used to give to test subjects,
Or to be made to keep cigars moistened
Somewhere I will never return,
To my millions and billions of comrades,
So now I ask you,
Please don’t take rain for granted,
We know more than you do.
