Red Petals
We are born into this world a mere seed.
To grow strong, water is the love we need.
Our beauty is represented through the red petals.
Our errors are the thorns that make others bleed.
We go through our hash winters and nice summers.
It is a trial we all take as we go through our lives.
In the coldest winters, our stems may start to bend.
We find ourselves leaning on roses we call our friends.
Our petals will start to fall off as time goes on.
We fall apart as the sun comes into its dawn.
We take our last breathe as we hit the ground.
The air is gone, but with love, we are drowned.
