The water proof mascara can't hold up against the tears.

The same way that our lives can't hold up against the years.

Holding on our mothers hands from childhood to now.

Its time to live on our own, hoping she taught us how.



As I sit here and think about how my life has changed.

I let out some silent tears for all I've lost and gained.

Although one part of my life is coming to an end,

The beggining of the next, is right around the bend.



It can be a scary time, but at least I have you here.

I know I'll make it through, as long as you are near.

These tears keep pouring down, but I know that they will dry.

Once they do, I'm done. With you there's no need to cry
