I'm just writing to say
I'm sorry for what I've done
I'm sorry for all the pain
And making you wanna run
None of it's your fault
Not a single blow
You're really a great kid
I don't know that though
I just know what's in the bottle
And what my dad did to me
So you did nothing wrong
It's the way I was raised ya see
So please don't take to heart
What I did as you grew
