Tropical Paradise

I am an enthusiastic picture painter with words who lives the lives of his creations who roam the world known as imagination where beautiful city’s, exotic forests, unending deserts, dangerous dungeons, and foreign alien worlds are common things
I wonder what new adventure of heroism, villainy, or neutrality will make itself known inside that chaotic place I call a mind
I hear the heart-stopping hair curling wails, and screams of helpless people as they’re attacked by vicious monstrosities who only exist to be destroyed by an unseen hero whose courage is spurred on by the cheers of the lives he saves
I see my creations gain power with the slyness of a snake or the strength of an elephant while other’s meticulously plot their downfalls and their own rise to power only to be thwarted by an old bitter ex love whose only goal in life is to hate and be bitter
I want to write everything my creations do and turn it into works of wonder, romance, love, excitement, danger, and passion

I pretend to be my creations and live their lives as they brave fiery deserts, raging storms on an ocean where the powerful gales can lift a ship off the water and rip it into miniscule ribbons in a matter of seconds
I feel the rough rhino skin of the jagged rocks at the shoreline as the wrecked ship drifts towards it where the crystal blue water’s crash gently into the golden carpet
I touch the blazing golden carpet for the first time in months as I painfully crawl from the ruins of a once majestic ship and lay exhausted under the unforgiving sky
I worry if this beautiful yet desolate tropical paradise will be my final resting place as I search fruitlessly for survivors

I cry when the overwhelming tidal waves of helplessness, loneliness, and pain crash violently inside me and the candles overhead mock me as their radiance is displayed for all to see

I understand that with the strength of Hercules and the wits of Athena I can make it off this tropical paradise and return to the chaotic rotted place I call home
I say nothing as I work tirelessly to construct my escape
I dream of times passed of times where the voyage that would end in disaster wasn't even an idea of times where the candles didn't display their radiance for all to see but a heavy blanket of disease hung ominously overhead while I rested safely in my own piece of heaven with my wife
I try to ignore the powerful aches in my stomach as my gaunt frame covered in rags continues its tireless quest of building an escape
I hope my protagonist who is trapped on a tropical paradise will one day return to his own piece of heaven where his wife waits for him
