The Eldest Young One
There is a young girl sitting on a hill
She stares out over vat gardens of her life
Leaning against her back, a tree
 Claiming her ring finger, marriage.
 She is five years old.
In the garden are her parents' graves.
Among the tomatoes are her grandchildren's graves
She see's her highschool soccer ball
 Still deflated by the fence.
Amidst the flower bed lay a body
She glanced at the leaves above her
One by one the leaves began to fade
Along with the leaves, the graves disappear
 And her soccer ball inflated.
soon the sun shone through the leaves.
 So bright.
 So bright.

A dying man needs to die, as a sleepy man needs to sleep, and there comes a time when it is wrong, as well as useless, to resist.
