"However, he cannot feel sadness, since he has never felt happiness."

A boy lives
in this world
where no one exists.

A parallel galaxy
where only one world
contains life.

The boy walks
through a windy
lonely field.

The grass is tall
and yawns a lonely melody
which makes the boy's heart shiver
as the sky shows
it's deep black color.

Spirits float around him
and the boy realizes he is alone.

However, he cannot feel sadness
since he has never felt happiness.

One day
I will join him

And no longer will his world be grey.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem with a few feelings. I just recently turned 15. The 14th year of my life was the worst year of my life. I lost so much that was close to me. I wanted a world that I could live in alone, and away from everything else, free of troubles. I wanted others to get a feeling of spirituality as they read my poem. I hope other teens will realize that they aren't alone with their sadness after they read my poem.
