Vicious Green Eyes

Do you see them?
Right over there, with the matching pink and green watermelon dresses.
Next to the Barbie car, the ones holding the orange popsicles.
The juices leaving painted streaks, like water colors along their freckly arms
One's older. Can you tell?
Watch them play in the imaginary world, the swingset is their castle, and the grass is their kingdom.

Do you see them?
Right there, with matching vicious green eyes.
The ones that scream the emotions and the words, that they'll never say
Beware of the vicious green eyes, they will tell you the truth.

Do you see them?
Right there, with the matching independence.
Look at the differences between them, the extra two inches of height, the curly hair.
Don't mistake them as one and don't ask them to share.
They are both slightly irrational you see,
And those vicious green eyes will darken your skies,
Until it is nothing but charcoal clouds, and racing rain.

Do you see them?
Right there, with matching vicious green eyes.
The ones that scream the emotions and the words that they'll never say
Beware of the vicious green eyes, they will tell you the truth.

Do you see them?
Right there, with the matching nerves.
She twirls her hair into unforgivable knots,
And she bites her nails, leaving nothing but small traces of polish.
They laugh to themselves, a conversation made of giggles and whispers.
Tomorrow they will run faster than today, but you'll still never catch up.
Their bond is unbreakable, don't try to understand.

Do you see them?
Right there, the sisters.
