A Kiss From An Angel
I’m lost, lost inside my mind
In my only place of comfort left behind
To me this is a graveyard
Where I’m all alone I walk the rows of headstones
In this thick fog waiting for it to clear
And for the sun to shine and the birds to chirp
This happens every time I see your face
And then for that time my graveyard is no longer dark
But lit-up by your beauty
And with a kiss I am no longer in a graveyard
But at a lake sitting under a tree
As the sun reflects off the water and I hold you
And then it’s gone
And I am back in my graveyard waiting to see that same scene
And waiting for one more kiss from your angel lips

To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
