Math Class

The room is freezing.
Simple mathematical equations are written on the board.
I am lost, lost in thought, trying to make some sense of this mess they call Geometry.

Looking down at my homework, I notice an astonishing number of x's.
I checked it myself, against the teacher's answer key on the board.
Every x represents another failure, another mistake.
Each incorrect problem is yet again more proof of my constant inadequacy.

The numbers, the angles- it's all a garbled rubbish heap in my head.
I don't get this.
I am drowning, spiraling perilously downward towards the black pit of no return.
This is my own personal hell.
