Love Defined
Whoever said that love is only a word
Stated a well-known lie.
It’s an emotion that takes over the soul,
And gets stronger as the days go by.
It makes you smile, laugh, and worry.
It even makes you cry.
It sometimes forms turmoil in the heart.
On it you cannot rely.
Love can be a hesitant thing,
Or given straight away without any curves.
But sometimes it’s taken
That love is something most don’t deserve.
But love is very confusing.
It’s something we don’t quite understand.
Not just made for one person,
But spreaded to all man.
Love is made to soften pain.
But not to make life seem fair.
Love is more than a word.
It defines a greater care.
It defines a great affection.
A mastery of friendship and trust unknown.
Love is a gift from God,
Created for not just man alone.
