Fear of the Unknown

By
You sit and take a breath
Hoping you are safe
Looking behind at the scenery and all is calm
Sweat drips from your forehead
You know there is no time
Standing up it is heard
Quickly moving now cutting from side to side
Something is coming
Knowing that it is faster
Thinking about anything that is safe
You duck behind something and wait
Sounds come closer and closer then move away
For a brief moment all is still
Then the ground shakes the wind blows the plants shrivel up in terror
You turn to face it and then nothing
