I never asked you to understand me

By
I never asked you to understand me

4/4/08

I never asked you to understand me
I didn’t want you to know
I never asked for your pity or the lies you told

The words you say are a phisade and don’t mean to me
You feel sorry for me and you don’t me
You know bits and pieces about my past but not the whole thing
I never asked you to understand me

The anger that I hide deep inside
The tears water in my eyes and refuse to fall
The tears that I cry that No one sees
Fall for a couple minutes and then their gone
Alone in the dark
Alone in the light
Alone day and night

Support system broken
The people you have aren’t enough
Christine my big supporter can only handle so much
My brothers so far from the relationship I want to have
I never asked you to understand me

This is my seventh town and fourth school since my 13 birthday
Benton, Winslow, Waterville, Augusta, Lewiston, Oakland, South Gardiner
Afraid to get really close to people, Pushing them away Fear of getting hurt
I can’t get used to all the disappointment That I face each day
Expecting it to come along and ruin my days
I never asked you to understand me

I never asked you to understand me
It’s probley best that you don’t
I write poems to release my pain
I’m loud, weird, hyper, Depressed and sad and I’m a Foster Teen
I never asked you to understand me

The way I Dress
The way I talk
The words I say
The people I like
The friends I have
I never asked you to understand me
