Haunted by a shadow, only a former glimpse of me
Not as much of a ghost as it is a memory
A recollection of why it is that I’ve changed
The only reasons of becoming deranged
Causing the confusion and misunderstanding
Shown by the hidden pain of a heart aching
To be close to anyone puts me in fear
While presenting myself scared would be queer
To pose anything less than cheer and amusement
Would open the eyes of my peers to be lucent
Out of the obscurity and out of the bleak
Into the plain sight of which I seek
To find myself and the treasure within
And close the paths from where I’ve been
