Dark nights and twilight skies;
Cherished moments and miles.
Losses bring us teary eyes;
Memories bring smiles.

Old days, watching the stars,
Remember... long ago?
Sneaking in past locked bars
and lying beneath the willow.

We sat and watched the darkness above,
The stars, like shimmering eyes.
In winter, in snow as white as a dove;
in summer with the fireflies.

I remember each heartfelt sigh,
each moment that you held me.
I miss those days; no, don't cry...
Because, I was set free...
