Lost in Dreams

With weary body and tired heart,
I close my eyes so slowly.
Excitement ensues itself upon my mind.
The spell will soon begin again.
Visions of my love and I,
thriving in each other’s arms
and getting lost in time.
I don’t want to wake up,
these dreams keep me sane.
Reality seems to be a trickster.
So the dream-world is where I wish to live.
I toss and turn in my sleep,
hoping that I never wake up.
Whether it be real or not,
my love is all I see.
Dreaming sweet dreams
I lay in my bed smiling in my sleep.
