Drop of Sand

I'm not who you think I am anymore,
The nights when I just lie here on the floor,
The scares on my wrist not just to feel,
But to remind me that I'm also real,
The pain I get while looking you in the eye,
I sometimes wish I would not wake and die,
No one notices when I'm not around,
You don't even realize when I frown,
The day you ask yourself why you don't care,
Will be the day that I'm not there,
And when you sit and ask yourself,
You will see my picture on the shelf,
Wondering what you did wrong,
You'll realize that I'm gone,
Maybe then you will understand,
I'm not just a drop of sand.
