To prove that you'll be there

Don't pretend to be upset
When I step out of line
But single most importantly
Don't forget to cry
Don't forget to look my way
Whenever you drive by
Don't forget to think about
The times you did forget
About me sitting home alone
Putting myself to bed
Don't forget the pressure
The pain you put me through
Don't forget how I could never
Stand to be like you!
