Driving home from his house
I pass a big white truck
There's a train on the track
This is just my luck

The way he kissed me
Was totally sweet
It was gentle and nice
My knees went weak

In the other lane
A car started to swerve
I beeped my horn twice
The vehicle hit a nerve

That nerve was me
I just got hit
Five miles away from him
My head covered in slits

Hearing voices around me
I couldn't open my eyes
Someone was holding my hand
And I heard someone cry

Laying in a hospital bed
I started to turn
It hurt really bad
My stomach was burned

Opening my blue eyes
He was sitting in a chair
I whispered his name
As he ruffled his hair

He grabbed my hand
And he sat down on my bed
The doctor came in
And looked at my head

Your not doing good
You got hit pretty hard
He handed me a box
That was filled with get well cards

My man reached for my hand
I slowly started to die
The doctor came back in and said
That baby will never cry

She's three months pregnant
You would have been a dad
The doctor walked away
As Reese thought about the past

He'll never move on
The last words she said
I'll love you forever and ever
Amen
