Silent stealth in the dark of night
Enemies awaken in beds damp with fright
Never knowing if that drip is the rain
Or darkened night time warriors come again

Slipping through shadows with sylph like speed
Extinguishing evil when ever there is need
Disciplined enough to avoid the slightest cough
They ply their trade the whole night through

Darkness on the doorstep then a sudden pop
And on thudding heartbeat comes to an abrupt stop
No one is around to see the slight sheen
Where the warriors’ weapon had once been

Darkened warriors in the dead of night
Always ready in case of a fight
Emperors rest uneasy in their palaces
With nightmares of warriors with covered faces
