Black dawn
Rising slowly
Stars hide in their midnight hues before all consuming darkness
Day starts not in sunlight, but in
night begins the rise of the black sun
that spreads its rays like wings
covering the earth in a cloak
however
it takes only a pinprick of
light
to break through the shell of darkness
so that the blind
may see
