sitting there in the drizzling rain
laughing about all things the same
and smile and look and wonder and think
(we never want to miss a beautiful blink)

you and me and everyone the same
ran the fields through in the pouring rain
and songs of heart,of joy and laugh
could never take once a single Memory back.

and covers of snow and blankets of ice
fall down like an evening sacrifice
then blossom and rise, and open and ring
brushstrokes the trees with the green of spring

and when me and you and everyone grew
until leaves and left the trees and you
(and goodbyes and farewells were all the same)
then the Memories by us went and came
