You can't put cartwheels on your resume
They do not care how well you play
Capture the flag

Or that you can climb the old oak tree
With just one hand and two bare feet
And your eyes closed

You cannot ride your rocket ship
To an interview or internship
You're supposed to take the bus

You oughtn't run, you have to walk
Do be quiet, you mustn't talk
Too loudly

So many rules and regulations
Dates and times and obligations
And no one seems to notice

You are too young to grow up.

I feel like this all the time. I want to be competitive in apply for college, but part of that means taking a significant amount of time away from having fun and doing things I still think I should be young enough to do, like, have fun and do nothing for awhile...

This is so original that I love it! The title is perfect. People always stress to boast about what you can do, but it seems that cartwheels don't count :(
