this heart of mine

When you cry my heart gently brushes away each tear.
My heart appears in your darkest hour to fight away each fear.
A grasp on you it couldn’t hold.
This heart of mine is growing cold.
My heart screams out in despair.
This departure just isn’t fair.
The eyes of my heart watch,
As you fade into the dark.
This day forever burned into its mind.
Another love like you my heart won’t find.
